Building Financial Understanding Through Clear Communication

We started Gontiago Qorimido because investment terminology shouldn't be a barrier to financial success. Our approach focuses on making complex concepts accessible to working professionals across Canada.

How We Started

Back in 2019, I was working with small business owners who kept asking the same question: "What does this actually mean?" They'd receive investment proposals filled with jargon, but no one took the time to explain the basics.

That's when I realized there was a real gap. People needed someone to translate financial language into everyday terms. Not just definitions, but practical understanding they could use in real conversations with advisors and brokers.

The turning point came in early 2020. A client called me after successfully negotiating better terms on a commercial loan. She said our terminology sessions gave her the confidence to ask the right questions. That conversation convinced me we were onto something important.

We officially launched Gontiago Qorimido in 2021, focusing specifically on investment terminology education. Our goal was simple: help people understand financial language well enough to make informed decisions about their money.

Since then, we've worked with over 200 professionals across British Columbia and Alberta. Each program is different because everyone comes with different experience levels and specific goals.

What Sets Our Approach Apart

Real-World Context

We don't just teach definitions. Every term comes with examples from actual investment scenarios. You'll learn how concepts like "asset allocation" or "risk tolerance" show up in real conversations with financial advisors.

Canadian Market Focus

Our content addresses Canadian investment vehicles like RRSPs, TFSAs, and REITs. We cover terminology specific to Canadian markets, tax implications, and regulatory differences that matter for local investors.

Meet Our Lead Educator

Elisandra brings fifteen years of experience in financial services, including roles at regional credit unions and investment firms across Western Canada. She holds certifications in financial planning and adult education.

What makes her approach effective is her background in both finance and teaching. She understands where people get confused because she's seen the same questions come up hundreds of times.

Before starting Gontiago Qorimido, Elisandra developed training programs for new financial advisors. That experience taught her how to break down complex concepts into manageable pieces that actually stick.
